surely that is the same with any high street store? I love topshop
ReplyDeleteTopshop ios overpriced but its good copies of designer pieces which you couldnt usaully afford..... and if the people head to toe in topshop just make the individual people look better so there actually doing them a favour.
ReplyDeleteWho did Topshop Unique copy for the AW09 collection?
ReplyDeleteSorry I disagree...I think some of the Topshop consumers are all very led by the brand but that can be said of all stores...however I do think most that shop there have their own style and take on fashion. I agree it is overpriced...but I think the 'no individual style' thing can be said of any high street fashion brand...
ReplyDeleteThe trick is to go to the flag ship store and get all the new stuff before it filters out. Thats what I do and i'm the definitely the most stylish person in my village. I love Topshop and the vast collections and combinations at reasonable rates allows you to be stylish whilst not being too far behind whats emerging as new off the catwalks. With a new store opening in the US lets hope Topshop doesn't somehow morph into Gap. (shrieks)
ReplyDeletePeople are being fashion concious by buying into the latest trend that whatever designer/ magazine has told them to this month. Trends are not so much original nowadays anyways as opposed to a throw back to the 80's or whatever era the powers that be choose. Individuality is a rare thing.
ReplyDeleteYou can wear one dress so many different ways so that is individual style in how you team it and accessorize it. Fair enough living in london, everyone would love to shop in little boutique stores but when you live in belfast you are'nt left with much choice. also some people rely on shops like topshop to help them know whats good to wear and how to put things together as they have trouble with it. topshop is a business at the end of the day so they don't give a shit about individuality or being big headed they are clearly top of their league at what they do
