I do agree but think most people are unaware of product placement...people 'in the know' will see it a mile off - but I do think most just dont recognise it and see it as a form of advertising. The Sex and the City Movie was a bit cringe with the old 'let me just open my Manolo box it a certain fashion so you get a good look and the name on the lid'!
ReplyDeleteDo you work for Starbucks then?!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's supposed to be ironic...?
ReplyDeleteWhy shouldn't we see adverts in a film??? Don't you think brands like Aston Martin have made films such as James Bond become even more iconic???
ReplyDeleteIf there wasn't product placement we wouldn't have many films to watch?
ReplyDeleteTraditionally Television content was free to viewers because of the plethora of advertising riddled throughout the programmes.
ReplyDeleteFilms were paid for by the viewing public, and so were to be free of extreme advertising.
This dynamic is something which has been changing over recent years.
so how do you think people sell things? face the real world
